Just a couple Knockouts I wanted to post from last weekend to make sure people saw them. This past weekend was not necessarily jam packed with the highest level fights, but as always the Main Events Delivered.

The UFC Main Event in Nashville on Saturday was a shocking outcome. Not many people predicted Anthony Pettis to move up 15 lbs. and finish Wonderboy, one of the best fighters in the world. But this is MMA and anything can happen at any time in this sport so please enjoy this beautiful finish courtesy of Showtime!

We finished the weekend with a Sunday Night Banger with Sergey Lipinets and Lamont Peterson in Maryland. This was a brutal war that is an instant fight of the year candidate. In the end it seemed Peterson’s age and Lipinets toughness took over and Lipinets finished him brutally in the 10th round.

After the fight Peterson acknowledged his hometown crowd and retired from the sport of boxing. He won two belts and had a great career, so I wish him nothing but the best.
