The Octagon rolls to sunny Sunrise Florida this weekend for a fun card that got hit by the injury bug. Originally we were supposed to have a rematch with Yoel Romero and Jacare Souza, however Romero pulled out so in comes Jack Hermansson. Here is my preview of the action this weekend.

Main Card ESPN+ – 9pm ET/6PM PT

Alex Oliveira vs. Mike Perry

We have an absolute banger here folks. True fight of the year candidate that cannot be missed between two savages. Both of these guys like to come forward and fight on the feet so plan on seeing plenty of action here. I do think though Mike Perry will have the power advantage and will take out Cowboy Oliveira in the second round.

Greg Hardy vs. Dimitri Smoliakov

Greg Hardy, the infamous former NFL star had quite the UFC debut, finishing with an absolutely brutal DQ…

Since then he has admitted Fatigue really played a factor in that ending and watching it you could tell he was extremely gassed (no excuse). Interesting move for the UFC to throw him back in the Co-Main event spot here, but the UFC does this all the time so it is really no surprise. His Opponent Dimitry ” The Lifeguard” Smoliakov has lost two in a row and is probably a pic for slaughter here.

I am predicting Hardy gets back on track with a first round KO.

Jacare Souza vs. Jack Hermansson

As I said earlier this is not the original Main Event, but it is still interesting nonetheless. Hermansson has been submitting everyone in his path, and we all know about Jacare’s prowess on the ground as well. So, even though both guys have extremely polished stand up, I believe this fight will be won on the ground.

Hermansson might be good on the ground and get some opportunistic subs, but Jacare is one of the greatest Jiu Jitsu practitioners of all time and I dont see someone finding a limb on his body. Jacare by First Round submission.
