2019 NBA All Star Saturday Night Preview

NBA All Star Saturday is always one of my favorite nights of the year. Who can forget all the great times we have had watching some of the best athletes in the world.

This year we have three competitions and I will be going through and picking some winners. So lets get after it!

All of this goes down on TNT on Saturday night 2/16.

Taco Bell Skills Challenge

WHAT A CREW, I mean if you can look at this picture and not be hyped about these talented guys then don’t watch basketball. I mean you have the Gunner Trae Young, The silent Assassin Jayson Taytum, The Wunderkind Luka, and of course my god, my hero, NIKOLA “I just rolled out of bed with a triple double” Jokic.

I think this could come down to the wire because all of these guys have legit skills (obviously), and knowing that this always comes down to the three point shot helps with my pick. Conley is a sleeper in this because no one ever thinks about him. BUTTTTTTTT at the end of the day I have to go with my guy, the one and only Joker!

Mtn Dew 3-Point Contest

The three point competition has slowly become the marquee event of this night. Since the league has become more of a 3 point shooting league, the competition has just become an incredible spectacle. Watching The hometown Curry brothers,  the imported star Kemba, The old dog Dirk, and the man other gunners should be awesome saturday night. Still has anyone since this won in their warm up jacket?

I do not think so ladies and gentlemen. However, I still think this should be incredibly fun and very competitive.

I’m gonna go with a surprise pick here, and go with Mr. Smooth, Khris Middleton to come down with the title.

ATT Slam Dunk

This is always the last event of the night, but my god this has to be the worst slam dunk lineup in the history of the contest. Casual fans will not know one of these players. I honestly thought this was a joke when I first saw this.

I do not really have a ton to say about this crew because none are very appealing or memorable in the long run. So I will be picking one of the most underrated players in the NBA John Collins, to come down with the win.

I hope everyone enjoys the night!
